Web poker has become globally famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the bet comes the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus an amount in accordance with the original bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
