No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Who is Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer grew up in a family of 5 where he enjoyed playing different card games at a young age. He found himself getting very competitive in these particular card games while competing against his father. After finishing Sr. High school, Howard made a decision to put college on hold for a bit and relocated to New York to participate in some formidable chess. While competing in chess, he was brought in to a poker game going on in the rear of the room. Howard’s 1st 2 years were difficult as he played countless hours and lose most times. He made some additional cash by being an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He judged he might better his game by adjusting his life away from poker. He brought about an effort to get more rest and focus even more on the game.
The actual improvement in his skills began when he began playing at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the best gamblers would often play against each other. Howard had access into a number of the foremost players in chess. With their help, Howard Lederer would tweak his logical thinking skills. Howard applied these strategic concepts to the game of No-Limit texas hold’em.
Howard Lederer also helped his sibling Annie Duke learn poker. Annie Duke was a great student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the correct choice. Howard told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and compete in the WSOP competition. Annie is one of the strongest female players the poker world has ever seen. Howard moved to Sin City in 1993 and participated in money games for the next decade. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard made the decision to play more tournaments.
