Poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes directly to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips even with your ante and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
