Annie Duke mightn’t have came away with her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but Annie is still one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "young crowd" of poker run wild after a big win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mom" to her four children. She was born in New Hampshire and was raised into a family of card players. If you don’t believe that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, when he plays, Howard taught her the best method to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is not a small change girl and has won her cut of challenging games, including knocking out Howard a few times on several occasions.

Earning well over three million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet and actor Ben Affleck, who wished to build up his abilities and become a big player in poker.

You might just run into her at the Bellagio, you will see her on the tv and you might even compete with her in a net poker match, but do not bank on an easy win. Unless you are a champion-in-the-making, you’ll not beat her. although, it is likely to be fun to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
