Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the western in an excellent game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to worry about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their cash.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game play, rookies can take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied selections.
It is also easier to bet on for an extended time with just a small bit of money after all, to lose, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house is given 7 cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
